"Not true," Dina Lohan, 45, told Access Hollywood in an e-mail, "staying in Utah."

A source close to the star also told People: "Lindsay is not leaving Cirque Lodge in Utah any time soon. She has a few more weeks to grow and develop, and she is doing great."

Babyshambles prepare for jail term

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Babyshambles are recording extra songs in case singer Pete Doherty gets sent to jail.

The controversial singer could face a prison term for a string of drugs possession offences.

Adam Ficek, who drums with the band, explained they were getting work on their upcoming album out the way as well as putting other tracks on tape.

"We obviously hope Peter won't be sent down but we can't take any chances," he explained. "We have a lot of extra tracks to do, and the sensible thing is to record them now when we can definitely be together."

Ficek expects the record, Shooter’s Nation, to impress fans and said Blur producer Stephen Street had been a big help in getting Doherty in line.

"We had to prove people wrong. We had to deliver an undeniably great album, and we have. Stephen made us work regular hours, 11am to 8pm.

"He helped by not putting up with any nonsense. He made Peter re-do vocals for a whole day, which had never happened to us before. He ran into some walls but he pulled it off."

Doherty has been told he may avoid a jail term if he can kick his drugs habit. Ficek said: "It'd be naive of me to say he'll never take drugs again. But, honestly, I’ve never known him want to give up more."

"This is the first time I've heard Peter say he’s determined to stick with rehab. Maybe it's because he knows he'll go to jail if he doesn't."

Prada's women trip down the garden

Miuccia Prada took her models down to the enchanted part of the garden where the fairies live, introducing them to a dream world that verged on nightmare and put dark circles round their eyes.

Prada, whose shows are seen as pivotal for fashion direction, used the themes of botanical prints, plaids and knitted jumpsuits she had put in her menswear spring and summer collection, shown in June.

Models with their hair in matted plaits and dark eye make up moved through a maze of green concentric seating, against a backdrop print on the walls of elves with over-ripe fruits andjust over bloom flowers.

Prada swirled the botanical prints across green silk for pyjama style outfits, or used a trellis design in green and white for a full, stiff skirt.

Huge petals of tissue-like silk hung on the hip of a dress or were draped across the shoulders, while necklines were jigsaw-shaped and hems were uneven.

The knitted marbled trousers and tops first seen in June with menswear arrived on the women in slim-fitting trousers and skinny vests.

Amid the elegance came socks in staggered stripes of contrasting colours.

Prada's show echoed some trends from other collections, with wide-leg chiffon trousers and high, high-heeled shoes.

At Bottega Veneta, where the style was long, languid elegance, models stalked down the catwalk just supported on shoes with heels in the brand's trademark interwoven leather.

Dresses had wide pleats and swung loosely in linen or were structured in accordion style on one side of a full skirt.

Bottega Veneta, owned by France's PPR through the Gucci Group, uses its roots in traditional Italian leather craftsmanship to bring twists to a classic look.

Designer Tomas Maier used natural colours of chocolate brown, putty, lemon and palomino blonde for his collection, adding gold and silver for highlights.

Tan leather turned into an A-line dress stopping just above the knee with a button front, or was worked into long gloves that finished above the elbow and were worn with a short-sleeved, swing back raincoat.

Earlier on Tuesday, designers Missoni and Anna Molinari's Blumarine collection had also gone for loose, flowing looks.

Missoni, known for geometric print knits, put the focus on hems, borders and necklines but kept to an emerging theme for this week's shows of flowing looks.

Missoni's trademark chevron design was sized up and used in bands of chocolate, pale lemon and brick that bled into each other on an ankle-length loose dress.

A short, sleeveless dress in woven gold sported a hem banded in bright turquoise, like enamelling. Missoni spattered a mini skirt with round spots of mirrors, or used mirrored panels at the bodice of a long evening gown.

Blumarine's models walked out against a backdrop of a typical Mediterranean port town, and sported bright sunshine colours of orange, yellow and coral.

Hot pants in acid orange jersey set off a mini polo shirt, while chocolate drop print shorts were worn with a cream cotton drill jacket.

Blumarine swept evening gowns low at the back, never compromising their elegance with immodesty. Dresses were froths of chiffon gathered and twisted into knots, left without adornment for a stunning simplicity.

'I'm in love & engaged'

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Supermodel Kate Moss has declared she is in love and engaged — in an apparent attempt to convince Pete Doherty she has moved on, The Mirror has reported.

The 33-year-old's announcement apparently came the morning after she attended a friend's wedding in London with her new man, The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince.

"I love Jamie so much — we're engaged!" Kate shouted to friends.

But friends are denying it is a formal engagement to her new man Hince, the UK newspaper reports.

"No one thinks they are actually going to walk down the aisle any time soon — they know it was Kate's way of saying she's serious about him," a source said.

"Everyone knows it's a message to Pete too, telling him she's moved on and is happy with her new man."

Kate and Jamie, 39, hooked up at a pub late last month and although they don't hold back on the public displays of affection, it's obviously not Kate's fame that has lured him in.

"I f****** hate fashion. I don't go to the shows — I just think they're f****** stupid. One hundred per cent stupid," Hince said.

"I really like Kate but I don't like the attention. I just want to concentrate on my music and spend time with my mates. That's what I do, not all this."

Meanwhile, Pete Doherty has been trying to rekindle relationships with his dad and four-year-old son (to singer Lisa Moorish) while attempting to kick his drugs habit at a rehab centre south-west of London.

Kate Moss & Courtney Love make-up

Kate Moss has made up with Courtney Love after the singer denied she was responsible for embarrasingly ripping her dress at a party this week.

Moss was left blushing after her vintage Dior dress was torn on Tuesday, exposing half her bottom to eager photographers and confronted Love about rumours she'd stepped on it.

The pair were partying at mutual pal Stella McCartney's Adidas launch in London on Thursday when Kate searched out Courtney.

A source tells the Mail, "Kate was on the prowl for Courtney. When she found her she confronted her and said, 'I hear you stood on my frock.'

"Courtney looked nervous and kept saying, 'I swear it wasn't me.' But Kate was having a laugh and they were best friends again by the end of the night."

Nicole & Joel at LAX

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Nicole Richie gets a helping hand from Good Charlotte boyfriend Joel Madden as they catch a flight on Thursday in Los Angeles. The lil’ mama-to-be wore her favorite black Lanvin Mary Jane Ballet Flats, a new pair of oversized sunnies and a headscarf. Nicole also carried around the Goyard St. Louis PM Tote.

Earlier in the day, Joel (in a Marc Jacobs jacket) was seen filling up his car with gas whilst chatting to his twin brother Benji.

Sex & the City plot revealed

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Shooting for the Sex and the City film is underway in New York with photos from the Upper East Side set revealing prim Charlotte is pregnant and not pleased with perennial bad boy Mr Big.

Sporting a large baby bump and laden with shopping bags, Kristin Davis's character and Mr Big, played by Chris Noth, get into a heated argument outside a restaurant. An outraged Charlotte takes to him with her shopping bags.

Has Big been busted dining with a lady other than Carrie?

Charlotte's waters break during the slinging match and — sparing no thought for what a woman's waters will do to luxury car upholstery — Mr Big ushers Charlotte into his car for the trip to the hospital.

In other plot news, Sarah Jessica Parker's (SJP) character Carrie goes apartment hunting with Mr Big after the pair agree to move in together.

Carrie and Mr Big reunited in Paris in the final episode of the hit television series after Carrie's romance with career-obsessed artist Aleksandr Petrovsky, played by Mikhail Baryshnikov, hit the skids.

Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson will reportedly play Carrie's assistant in the movie.

Is the feud between SJP and Cattrall back on?

Rumours of a falling out between SJP and co-star Kim Cattrall, who plays the vixen Samantha, were never far from the set of the Sex and the City series.

And it seems the rift still has some legs.

A grim-faced Cattrall has been filmed storming out of a party to celebrate the first day of filming minutes after SJP arrived.

TMZ.com published the footage which shows Cattrall hastily calling a cab outside Butter restaurant in New York's East Village.

Cattrall's exit did not put an end to the night. Davis, SJP and other members of the production happily partied on.

Davis told photographers outside the restaurant she was "really excited" about the movie. TMZ.com said Cynthia Nixon, who plays Miranda, did not attend the function.

Heiress brands Lohan a 'home wrecker'

Lindsay Lohan has been labelled a "marriage wrecker" by the wife of a musician who claims her husband had sex with the star in rehab.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

British heiress Stephanie Allen has alleged that Lohan had sex with her husband Tony in the toilet of a Utah rehab facility, The Mirror reports.

The 29-year-old, whose family is worth over $1.5 billion, has reportedly kicked the Dead Stays Alive frontman out for his infidelity.

The heiress has retained custody of the couple's eight-month-old twins.

"Stephanie's had it, period," a friend told The Mirror.

"They tried forever to have kids. She went through IVF three times and suffered two miscarriages, and when they finally got two beautiful babies, he hooks up in rehab with a girl half his age."

The musician, 39, denies he hooked up with Lohan and claims they were only friends during their time at the rehab clinic.

"We're great friends. We share a common affliction and we just talk about life sometimes," he said.

The Mean Girls star is currently in rehab at a facility in LA after she was arrested for drink-driving and drug possession on July 24.

Reports emerged earlier this week that Lohan was set to quit Hollywood because she felt it was the cause of her problems.

Joel & Nicole to wed

Joel Madden confirmed on Ryan Seacrest's radio show yesterday that he fully intends to marry his now pregnant girlfriend Nicole Richie, but he just doesn't know when.

The Good Charlotte frontman said:

"Obviously, marriage is in our future. I don’t know when or where or how, but right now our priority is our family and is the baby. That’s all we’ve been thinking about. We are in love and are really happy," the rocker added.

And although he's not sure when they'll officially wed, Madden is excited about their baby, noting:

"We are all really excited about it. It’s the best thing that has ever happened to us. It’s awesome."

Nightmare for Moss

Model Kate Moss' big night for London Fashion Week turned into a wardrobe nightmare for the supermodel when Courtney Love stepped on her dress and the garment proceeded to disintegrate.

The style icon appeared on the red carpet outside the Victoria and Albert Museum for a party hosted by Vogue, wearing a vintage long gold satin gown with a train.

Once inside the party, fellow partygoer Love reportedly stepped on the two-foot train causing the outfit to tear at the back, according to The Evening Standard.

"...just seconds after her grand entrance, Courtney, failing to spot the huge train at the end of Kate's dress, trod on it with both heels causing a very slight rip," one guest told The Evening Standard.

"Throughout the course of the evening the hole, which started just above the small of her back, began to spread. She took it in surprisingly good humour though, shrugging it off with a giggle," the guest said.

Paparazzi shots taken of the 33-year-old supermodel show the tear expanding as the night progressed.

By the time Moss left the Vogue soiree for another party at The Dorchester Hotel, she had tied the train up at her waist creating a whole new outfit.

Unfortunately for the model turned designer that wasn't the end of her wardrobe malfunction. Tears in the gown also appeared on the shoulder and on her back leaving the delicate dress literally in tatters.

Love dating Doherty?

Courtney Love is reportedly dating Pete Doherty.

The couple were spotted kissing and cuddling over lunch in a Wiltshire, England pub.

It is believed the former Hole frontwoman was visiting the Babyshambles singer during his spell in rehab.

A source tells British newspaper The Daily Star: "It's too early to say if it could be romance, but these two are both musicians, both self destructive and rather poetic."

Love recently spoke of her admiration for Doherty, saying: "He's committed, he's very loyal, he's a Scorpio. We had really good chemistry.

London returns to fashion's top table

London celebrated the opening weekend of its fashion week with greater fanfare and more international influence than ever filling its runways with spectacle and its front rows with stars.

After languishing behind Paris, Milan and New York for several years, a clutch of new designers and London's emergence as a top shopping and financial destination have returned it to fashion's zenith for the spring-summer 2008 shows.

While supermodels Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer took centre stage at a champagne-filled party in Holland Park, Dame Shirley Bassey, US actress Tara Reid and Joan Collins took to the front row of the shows.

"A lot of people have said to me it's the best London fashion week in 10 years. And you can't do better than that," Hilary Riva, chief executive of the British Fashion Council that organises fashion week, told Reuters.

Gareth Pugh, one of the most eagerly awaited designers of the week, upheld London's reputation as the crucible of the cutting-edge opening his show on Sunday with a huge red balloon which popped revealing a model with a cube for a head.

He later sent another down the catwalk in a shawl made of mice in a show filled with gothic-influenced leather suits.

At Julien Macdonald, whose evening gowns are red carpet favourites, the dominant theme was racing stripes and biker shorts under flirty skirts.

With luxury sportswear one of the fastest-growing areas in the high fashion industry, Macdonald said it was a look inspired by Britain's hosting of the 2012 Olympics.

Spectacle also filled London's night sky when 1,000 helium balloons lit by flickering LED lights rippled above the city in an art installation by Usman Haque sponsored by champagne house Moet & Chandon as a celebration of fashion week.

At the party that followed, supermodel Erin O'Connor and British Fashion Council Chairman Stuart Rose, who is also chief executive of retailer Marks & Spencer, took turns on a carousel set up in the grounds of Holland Park's opera house.

Designer Giles Deacon provided the music, deejaying on a table piled high with blood-red pomegranates and champagne.

"A decade ago there was a difference between London, and Paris, Milan and New York. You can't say that anymore," English socialite and TV personality Tara Palmer-Tompkinson, dressed in Givenchy haute couture, said at the party.

London's fashion revival is part of a resurgence shared in its art, music, literature, cuisine and club land that has gone hand in hand with its emergence as an international financial capital and playground for the world's wealthy.

Other signs of London Fashion Week's new power are designers Luella and Matthew Williamson's decision to switch to showing here this week instead of New York and US Vogue editor Anna Wintour's return after shunning London for several seasons.

Another highlight is Tuesday's gala opening of the Victoria & Albert Museum's "The Golden Age of Couture: Paris and London 1947-1957" which is expected to lure A-list guests. The six-day event will close with another British emigre designer, Stella McCartney, who usually shows in Paris but will unveil her sportswear collection with Adidas on Thursday.

The Sartorialist

"The Sartorialist" is a fashion blog by Scott Schuman, a former director of men's fashion at Bergdorf Goodman in New York. After leaving his position to take care of his daughter in 2005, he began carrying a digital camera around on the streets of New York City, taking pictures of people who had dressed in some way that caught his eye, and then posting them to his blog, sometimes with comments about what he finds.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

He describes his philosophy as trying to echo how fashion designers looked at what they saw on the street:

“I thought I could shoot people on the street the way designers looked at people, and get and give inspiration to lots of people in the process. My only strategy when I began The Sartorialist was to try and shoot style in a way that I knew most designers hunted for inspiration.”

Schuman has taken photos in different locations besides New York, often Paris and Milan when he has gone there for fashion shows. His subjects range from fashion celebrities like Karl Lagerfeld to unidentified regular people. He has found uniforms and dirty work clothes as well as those trying to display their style. He says his inspiration was a picture of a man on an empty street taken by German photographer August Sander.

Schuman began getting other work from serious fashion publications. Condé Nast tapped him to do something similar during Fashion Week in Paris for its style.com website. He also regularly works events for Saks Fifth Avenue, and says French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld has also talked to him about doing something for her magazine.

"The Sartorialist" has inspired similar blogs in cities around the world.

Patient examination

The ending of which film/book has most disappointed you?

KM: Dr Zhivago. The story of a failed love affair makes me cry.

Which teacher do you remember best from school?

KM: Mr Humphreys, my art teacher, was the only one who had any belief in me or the rest of the class. He had a tear in his eye when I went back to do a shoot for Vogue magazine.

Which public figure do you think is most overrated?

KM: Anyone in politics.

What question are you never asked and most want to answer?

KM: I hate answering questions, but it would be quite nice to hear: "Kate, are we bothering you?"

If you could have lived in a different era, which one would it be?

KM: Probably the 1920s or 1960s because of the music and fashion.

Who are you most like, your mother or your father?

KM: My mother. We share the same sense of humour.

What, in human history, do you wish had never been invented?

KM: The camera phone.

Which historical figure would you most like to sit next to on a long-haul flight and why?

KM: Elvis in 1956. What do you mean: "Why?"

Where would you most want to be stranded in the world?

KM: Any room in my country house gives me a feeling of peace.

Name something that you truly believe in.

KM: "Don't let the bastards get you down."

Our diagnosis

So you hate questions, and you aren't exactly long-winded, either. In Culture Clinic terms, you're suffering from a severe case of closed-book-itis. On the one hand, fair enough. Public life has obviously taken its toll. Your default stance is to be cynical, defensive and take a Greta Garbo attitude to the world: the beautiful recluse. But I don't buy it. There are shades of the funny, the wistful and even the sentimental in your answers that probably put that tear in your art teacher's eye. And while a lot of great art has been made about not letting the bastards get you down, a lot of it is about realising that they're not all bastards, either...

Our prescription

Recommended film

Roman Holiday, starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck (1953). The princess in this film would know just how you feel about camera phones: everyone wants a piece of her, too.

Sneaking out of the palace on a diplomatic trip to Rome, she gets a haircut and a taste for a different kind of life, namely riding around on the back of a Vespa holding a man with one hand and an ice cream with the other.

She also picks the worst possible candidate to fall in love with: a journalist who plans to shop her exploits to the paper. The surprising absence of a Hollywood ending makes this film a lot more than a light-hearted romantic classic. The message is that everyone from bored princess to jaded hack can have their world view refreshed if they take a look at life from the other side of the lens.

Recommended book

Infidel: My Life by Ayaan Hirsi Ali (2007). Here is the story of a real-life heroine that will not only defy your notion that everyone in politics is overrated, but offer humbling amounts of perspective, too. Hirsi Ali is a Somali-born former member of the Dutch parliament, who recently faced death threats after collaborating on a film about domestic violence with the controversial director Theo van Gogh (who was himself assassinated).

The extraordinary and suspenseful account of her life charts the course of a beautiful woman born into a family of desert nomads, circumcised as a child, educated by radical imams in Kenya and Saudi Arabia and taught to believe that terrible tragedies would ensue if she uncovered her hair. Through sheer force of character, she escaped her destiny, transforming herself into a renowned spokeswoman for the rights of female Muslims and an inspiration to women all over the world.

Lohan is 'set to quit Hollywood'

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

An emotional Lindsay Lohan has reportedly told her father she will quit the movie business and leave her glamour lifestyle behind.

Michael Lohan — himself an ex-alcoholic — said his daughter broke down when he visited her at a rehab clinic in Los Angeles.

"As soon as I arrived Lindsay rushed into my arms, then curled up on my lap and sobbed like a baby," Michael Lohan told News of the World.

He said Lindsay blamed Hollywood for all the "evil" in her life.

"She said: 'I hate Hollywood and I don't want to work there. I need a break and I am moving away'."

Lindsay is said to have admitted to her father she has a drug problem and is committed to reforming her hard-partying ways.

She also promised she would "never do drugs again".

The Mean Girls star entered the Cirque Lodge treatment facility last month after she was arrested in California for drink-driving and drug possession on July 24.

The July incident took place only days after Lohan had been released from an earlier rehab stint.

White trash?

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Actress Mary-Kate Olsen loves nothing more than running around naked in high heels, according to an interview published in Harper's Bazaar.

"It's so funny. All my friends will tell you I love running around in kimonos and jewellery or naked with jewellery," she said.

"I run around my house naked with heels all the time.

The tween icon also said she changed her hair colour back to blonde recently to look like "white trash".

"I woke up one morning and was like, I want white-trash hair today," she said.

The 21-year-old, along with twin Ashley, starred in the TV series Full House in the late 1980s before founding a clothing, TV, movie and fashion empire.

Their many businesses have earned each twin a personal fortune of around $178 million.

The revealing interview with the young starlet, who reportedly sought treatment for an eating disorder in 2004, comes in the wake of her attempts to establish a solo acting career.

Olsen appeared in Factory Girl alongside Sienna Miller and shared a passionate controversial kiss with Ben Kinglsey in The Wackness.

She also makes regular appearances on the hit US TV series Weeds, playing a devoted Christian.

Olsen told the magazine her personal style is something other women imitate.

"Sometimes I'll look at people or at a magazine and I'll do a double take because I’m like, "Oh, my God, that’s my outfit, but that's not me."

JT vs.The Hills

Justin Timberlake’s hatred for reality TV became very apparent during Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards when he repeatedly asked MTV to ditch reality TV and play more music videos.

The girls from The Hills — Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port — were supposed to present Timberlake with Male Artist of the Year but after Lauren announced Justin as the winner, things got a little strange.

A fourth female mysteriously showed up on stage to join The Hills girls to hand the moon man to Timbaland, who in turn gave it to Justin. Justin did not give eye contact or thank any of the presenters, as most winners do.

“Play more dayum videos. We don’t want to see the Simpsons on reality television,” said Justin, referring to sisters Jessica and Ashlee Simpson. “Play more videos.”

And then when accepting the award for the Quadruple Threat Award, Justin reiterated, “I want to challenge MTV to play more videos.”
