Ryan visits LiLo in rehab

Sporting a fedora and dark sunglasses, bearded hunk Ryan Reynolds bulges out of his plain white tee early Saturday morning at the Century City Hospital in Beverly Hills where Lindsay Lohan was being held following her car accident.

The 30-year-old Canuck cutie has recently been busy filming his upcoming flick Fireflies in the Garden in Austin, Texas.

Tautou as Coco Chanel

Audrey Tautou will star as Coco Chanel in a $15 million biopic about the legendary French fashion designer.

Anne Fontaine will helm the yet to be titled pic, with French shingles Haut et Court and Cine producing. Films Distribution is handling international sales.

The film, which will focus on Chanel's childhood and early womanhood, was specially conceived with Tautou in mind, said Haut et Court's Caroline Benjo.

"Anne said she would only make a film about Chanel if Audrey was in the lead. They met and both liked the idea."

Named after the Olsens’ younger sister, Elizabeth, and older brother, James, the line is the latest addition to the extensive portfolio of brands managed by the twins’ 14-year-old company, the Culver City, Calif.-based Dualstar Entertainment Group. For the new brand, the Olsens teamed up with L’Koral Industries, a Vernon, Cali-based firm owned by partners Peter Koral and Jane Siskin. Best known for their multi-label junior business and the creation of the Seven For All Mankind brand, as well as contemporary label LaRok, L’Koral expects volume in excess of $200 million this year.

Inheriting Beauty

A new book filled with photographs, named "Inheriting Beauty" is set to be released by celebrity photographer Roger Moenks. The book will feature pictures of the world's most beautiful heiresses including Allegra Hicks, Nadja Swarovski and Casey Johnson. Paris Hilton was supposed to be included in the book too, but her entrance was denied by a "unanimous vote" among Moenks and his editors. Moenks' agent Marianne Stron had this to say: "She's tried to play society like a game of Three-card Monte. Let's hear it for high standards."

LiLo's Birthday Bash

Vodka company Svedka has reportedly pulled out as sponsors of Lindsay Lohan's 21st birthday party in Las Vegas this summer. The Mean Girls actress, who has attended Alcoholics Anonymous in the past, and is now back in rehab, had teamed up with the drinks company for her glitzy two-day bash on July 2, but it appears Svedka has had second thoughts about their involvement in the celebrations, according to the New York Daily News. Other sponsors for the landmark birthday celebrations include Pure nightclub, Caesars Palace and the Social House restaurant at Treasure Island.

In what is probably Britney Spears' longest, most profound letter to date, the trashy star opens up about her perspective on the things that have been happening in her life in recent months (both before and after her stint in rehab). Brit posted the following letter to her fans on her official website this morning and explains her side of the story.


Dear Fans,

I just wanted to reach out to all of you and explain some of the things that I have been faced with recently.

It's so funny how many stories are put out there about people. It's like we all want our side of the story out there as well, but at the end of the day only a few people care to hear what is really going on since the bad is always so much more interesting than the truth. I don't know why, but this is so weird to me. I used to be angry at the tabloids for printing horrible things about me, but now I try to just be numb to what I see. I saw Tyra Banks once get really upset and cry on her show because they made her look fat. We all want a certain image of ourselves out there, and at some point we all do really care what other people think or we wouldn't be here.

Recently, I was sent to a very humbling place called rehab. I truly hit rock bottom. Till this day I don't think that it was alcohol or depression. I was like a bad kid running around with ADD. I had a manager from a long time ago come in and try to direct me and my life after I got my divorce. I was so overwhelmed I think that I was in a little shock too. I didn't know who to go to. I realized how much energy and love I had put into my past relationship when it was gone because I genuinely did not know what to do with myself, and it made me so sad. I confess, I was so lost.

This letter is to not place blame on anyone, although I do see the world with a completely different set of eyes now. Being in that vulnerable state and taken to dinners and parties with friends and finding out later you paid for everything was a huge learning lesson for me. I think the whole problem was letting too many people into my life. You never know another persons intentions or what another person wants. I feel I was too open and looking for answers when I had it all to begin with. I have had to cut so many people out of my life. It is so sad, because if anyone is a family person ... it is me. When I was little I remember every night watching movies with my family and feeling so at peace. Dancing and singing all the time just like a little girl should. Now recently I find with my children that I want them to have that feeling all of the time. I am having to face a lot of things right now since I have children of my own. A lot of insecurities from when I was little are coming up again. It is like we are never good enough.

I know everyone thinks that I am playing the victim, but I am not and I hate what is going on right now so much. Maybe this is the reason for this letter ... to maybe allow people to look at me differently. It is like when you are a real woman and say what you feel and how you think things are supposed to be, that people just say you are a "bitch."

I feel like some of the people in my life made more of some issues than was necessary. I also feel like they knew I was beginning to use my brain for a change and cut some ties, so they wanted to be in more control of my life than me. I think it is actually normal for a young girl to go out after a huge divorce. I think it was a bigger issue because I had not gone out in such a long time. I am 25 and I do still have a lot to learn, and I am going to make mistakes everyday, and I am sure every mistake I make will probably be on CNN or Good Morning America. I am only human people and I love you for still loving me.

I am sitting here at home and it is 6:25 and both of my sons are asleep. I am truly blessed to have them in my life. Everyday is so surreal. Life in general is so surreal and crazy.

I just hope this letter made some of you think a little bit more of me and where I am coming from. I just want the same things in life that you want...and that is to be happy. It is just so weird because everyone has their own perception of me and how they think I really am. It is so weird how stories are told. There is your side, my side, and the truth. Somebody has to figure it out. I guess we will never really understand or figure out life completely. That's God's job. I can't wait to meet him ... or her.

Jolie due for rehab?

Infamous actress Angelina Jolie arrived at the world premiere of director Steven Soderbergh's film "Ocean's 13" at the 60th Cannes Film Festival looking extremely thin. The crowd at the recent Cannes Film Festival gasped when glamour duo Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt walked the red carpet. Normally gorgeous Angie seemed dangerously pin-thin causing her family and friends to worry about her health, sources say – and medical experts believe her condition could be very serious.

Brother James Haven has claimed that her constant sorrow over the death of her mother is proving to be dangerous for her health. Angelina’s thinness and lack of appetite are a big worry for Brad too. “He loves her, but this is really ripping him up inside,” says a source close to the couple. “He wants to help but feels powerless to do so.”

Lindsay Lohan has taken a tip from Britney Spears, and checked herself into the same Malibu rehab the "Toxic" singer used earlier this year.

The troubled actress, accompanied by her lawyer Blair Berk, began an intensive treatment program at the Promises rehab facility on Monday.

Lohan is also in legal strife after police found cocaine in her Mercedes at the weekend, which she allegedly crashed while intoxicated.

The new rehab program is rumoured to be far more serious than the on-again, off-again treatment the 20-year-old actress received at the Wonderland clinic earlier this year.

"Lindsay admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility on Memorial Day," a representative for the actress said today.

"Because this is a medical matter, it is our hope that the press will appreciate the seriousness of the situation and respect the privacy of Lindsay as well as the other patients receiving treatment at the facility."

Reports claim Lohan is is set to stay at the Malibu facility for 30 days, and continue outpatient treatment after leaving.

Nicole's publicist says she was just trying to be funny in the email invite, but a lot of people are finding it anything but funny. "Clearly, she is thumbing her nose at the people in rehab," Dr. Joyce Brothers tells In Touch. "It's a huge form of acting out, and it shows that the treatment for her eating disorder did not do any good." During the party - which was held at the house of Richie's BFF, Masha Gordon's - most of the guests drank beer and nibbled on food, but "Nicole didn't eat anything," a witness tells In Touch. Nutritionist Dr. Majid Ali tells the mag, "I would place Nicole's weight at about 83 pounds. At 5'1", she should weigh 105 to 110 pounds. You can see a bit of bloat of her belly, consistent with a malnutrition syndrome. I would be very concerned for her health if I was a family member."
